    “Don’t you dare touch him,” Gale’s voice was low, gravelly—he felt the Weave hum at his fingertips like never before. Therin was still pitifully trying to regain his strength, find his footing, though the world felt like it was spinning around him. He was one errant blow away from losing consciousness—the fear that struck in Gale’s heart turned to rage as it reached his mind.

    “Oh, how lovely! Mystra’s obedient little lapdog, baring his teeth,” Lorroakan guffawed, “Tell me—will you whimper for her as you burn, or for your pathetic minstrel?”
