Summary
Snow had covered the parking lot sometime in the night. It had come without announcement, the way most catastrophes do, filling in the grooves and softening the edges, pressing its pale indifference over everything.
By morning, there was no evidence of yesterday. There rarely was anymore.Or: Sam is sixteen, and alone at the motel. Somewhere between the empty fridge, the unanswered alarms, and the ceiling he's been staring at for weeks, he's stopped being able to explain why getting up feels impossible. He doesn't have a word for what's happening to him. He's not sure he wants one.
Dean comes home early. He doesn't have the right words either. He tries anyway.Series
