Juniors was—Mitch would say it was enlightening, but all he really managed to do was drunkenly make out and exchange quick handies that the other boys brushed off as bros helping bros. If Mitch is being honest about it, he’d had a crush on Auston’s hockey before he ever even met him, meeting him just pushed it past the point of no return, and Mitch is pretty sure that sums up how completely fucked he is.

The last thing Steve wants is to be at this gala, schmoozing influential people that Steve mostly despises. He knows the Avengers need the publicity and support after recent events, but ideally, they'd get it literally any other way than through an event like this.
So he's already not having the best evening. It's made even worse when his fuck buddy - who also happens to be on SHIELD's most wanted list - shows up at the event to assassinate one of their guests. Because of course he does. Even if Steve doesn't really want to, he'll use force to stop Bucky if necessary. Or he'll drop to his knees in the nearest bathroom to get his mouth on Bucky.
