Summary
This time, the shivering didn’t stop. Husk gritted his teeth, trying to will himself to stop, trying to force himself to be still. Now that the adrenaline had finally worn off and he’d had a chance to get just enough sleep to muddle his brain, he wasn’t sure if he could get through another encounter like that again. He tried not to flinch when Alastor’s arm moved away from Vox’s back and slid beneath Husk’s shoulder, pulling him in closer.
“What are you doing?”
“This isn’t intimate,” Alastor scoffed quietly. “You’re shivering and you’re upset.”
“So, get me another blanket.” Husk frowned but didn’t try to slip Alastor’s embrace. “Then you wouldn’t have to touch me.”
“As if I want to touch you.”

He tried to turn, just a little, just to see his face, but Alastor's hand gripped his hip with possessive force, anchoring him in place. He couldn't move. He could barely think.
"I asked you a question, darling," Alastor's voice resonated against his nape, low, dangerous, each word a tense whisper. "Whose shirt is this?"
Vox swallowed. He blinked a couple of times, focusing his mind through the haze of that angry alpha scent.
"It's... Val's," he said, and his voice came out smaller than he wanted.
He felt Alastor's body tense behind him. The silence that followed was worse than any scream.
