What's bothering him? Kyouraku Shunsui is bothering him. And oh god, there's no way he can say that aloud. Literally no way.
"You know what, it's nothing after all. I just overreacted and everything will be fine. Just fine. On its own."

It starts like this, a week living in a tent. The wind blew ferociously and he spent each night shivering with one blanket to keep him warm. Barely interacting with his family, that was almost a relief, and having nothing to do but schoolwork, that wasn’t so bad it just didn’t take up his time as much as he wished it would, the curse of being smart.
There was one crucial part of that week, the lack of food. Turns out he was rather easy to forget, nobody came to get him, he wasn’t even given lunch to take to school. There were a few late bowls of cereal but for the most part he just starved.
The weight seemed to drop off.
