    Summary

Sirius runs away from home without so much as a backward glance and Regulus is left to deal with the consequences of a maddening mother and his parents' paranoia that he'll follow Sirius if given the opportunity. Regulus confronts Sirius about the consequences of his running away when he sees him the next year at Hogwarts.

This is not a fix it. Literally, nothing in this fic makes anything better than it is in canon, if anything it makes it worse.

    Summary

Stiles groans and drops his face into his hands. “I’m seventeen, I can kind of use mountain ash and I can explode houses when I’m mad enough. How am I gonna win any kind of magic fight?”

“We’ll work on it,” Deaton says, as infuriatingly calm as ever. “The important thing to remember, Stiles, is that when everything else is chaos, you’re the port in the storm.”

    Or-

Laura Hale never died, and Stiles is magic.

    Summary

Regulus knows James Potter. The kind of music he likes, what he does in his free time, every single detail he can absorb.

    James does not know him.

Sirius has made sure of that, keeping his mentally unwell brother far away from the object of his obsession. Funnily enough, it's James who comes to Regulus. Well-meaning, curious with no idea what he's getting into.

The lines between love and obsession are blurry and hard to read.

“No, we’re friends now, remember? I know it hasn’t been long, but I think I’m learning you, aren’t I?”

    Are you?

James had Regulus, but he didn’t know him. Regulus knew James but didn’t have him.

“Maybe you could,” was all Regulus could say in response. That was a truth. James could probably learn Regulus inside and out. Regulus would offer that if it didn’t mean breaking down the fixation—the rotting truth behind their growing relationship.
