The normally peaceful ambience of the Final Night Cemetery was broken by the panting cries of a lightkeeper. Of the two present in front of the old lighthouse, Illuga was the one disturbing the peace so to speak, but if you were to ask the young captain, the fault lay entirely with Flins.

Secrets cannot be kept forever; the both of them are aware of this more than ever. Expecting the unexpected was the first thing a Lightkeeper could get used to, but the shock doesn't wear off as easily.
The (second) next time he sees Flins, the words come tumbling out of his mouth faster than his brain can think.
“Were you trying to court me?”
“I’d be honored to do so, Young Master.”
Then why haven’t you?! Is the question that springs to his mind, but Illuga tampers himself down before realising what Flins had said, his mind short-circuiting.

Summary
Every time Illuga and Flins happened to spend time together, Flins would find his emotional endurance being tested. He felt so selfish—wanting to monopolise Illuga’s attention, touch, everything. The turmoil of emotions became worse when Jahoda leaned into Illuga’s ear, whispering something that Flins couldn’t make out. The proximity they shared made Flins’ stomach drop, and he had to force himself to not react.
