The kids grumbled but did as they were told. Provably only for show so they could listen in but Stan could live with plausible deniability. He turned to his twin. “Stanford Filbrick Pines. Did you fuck the triangle?”
Or; There's never a good time to find out about your brother's rancid ex-situationship. During an attempted apocalypse with your beloved great niece and nephew looking on in horror is probably up there in Worst Times To Find Out though. Oh well. The family that judges together stays together.

For the past few months, Mr. Deetz and his son, BJ, have come to Hugh’s Groceries every Tuesday.
Frances also comes to Hugh’s Groceries every Tuesday. Actually, Frances comes to Hugh’s Groceries every Sunday through Thursday. That’s because she works there.
She hasn’t had any meaningful interaction with them, but she still likes them. They come in every Tuesday evening, Mr. Deetz in business wear and BJ in sweatpants, a hoodie, and usually some kind of beanie. Frances thinks that maybe Mr. Deetz picks BJ up after work, and they go to the store together.
It’s a nice routine; a nice thing for a father to do with his son. Frances doubts that it’s something that they have to do together; it seems more like a bonding activity, and it’s nice. It makes Frances like them.

The anxiety and dread was gone now- the book was not some gateway into possessing or harming his family, just the last echos of a threat long gone- but no joy or relief followed in it's wake.
If anything he felt... disappointed.Which was insane- why would he be disappointed?!
He should he happy! Proud that he'd discarded the final remains of the worst part of his life! Relieved that, no matter what happened now, he was free from Cipher's control!But instead- he was disappointed?! Why?!
