Summary
I have this recurring dream. It starts differently every time. Sometimes I’m flying, weaving between skyscrapers and diving down close enough to the cars to brush them with my fingers. Sometimes I’m standing on the tippy top of the Empire State Building, and I mean past the observation deck. Right on top of the spire. Just standing there like it’s any other day, watching the sun set over the Hudson. Or sometimes I’m just at work, waiting behind the counter during a slow afternoon, waiting for someone to walk in from off the street and end my boredom.
The recurring part is that then I realize I’m not alone.

MJ is visited by a mysterious man in her dreams. The problem is that she can never remember them.

Summary
The expression on Hailey's face was one of abject horror. Her eyes were wide, fresh tears pouring from them and leaving tracks in the grime on her cheeks. Her mouth was agape, ragged breaths and something that sounded like choked off sobs fighting each other in her throat. She was looking past Miles, over his shoulder to where the gunman had been. Miles turned.
There, swaying slightly between him and the gunman, stood Spider-Man. He was turned away from Miles, so that he could only see the back of him.
Warm bile rose to his throat when he realized he could see the inside of him too.

And fuck, if that wasn’t the truth. Just thinking about the conversation set Miles’ teeth on edge. Well, ‘conversation’ might have been too kind a word for it. ‘Screaming match’ was perhaps more adequate.
