Summary
The expression on Hailey's face was one of abject horror. Her eyes were wide, fresh tears pouring from them and leaving tracks in the grime on her cheeks. Her mouth was agape, ragged breaths and something that sounded like choked off sobs fighting each other in her throat. She was looking past Miles, over his shoulder to where the gunman had been. Miles turned.
There, swaying slightly between him and the gunman, stood Spider-Man. He was turned away from Miles, so that he could only see the back of him.
Warm bile rose to his throat when he realized he could see the inside of him too.

As they stand on the side of the highway, Peter thinks that he really does need to call Mr. Stark and describe the destruction of his expensive car, there's no way around that. But it's not as easy as the man said, because Mr. Stark isn't his dad, as much as Peter would like that. Therefore Mr. Stark can be as mad at Peter as he wants to.
