Summary
In early Cold War Berlin, a city divided by borders, paperwork and quiet surveillance, Shane Hollander—a meticulous Canadian specialist assigned to a checkpoint annex—meets Ilya Rozanov, a charismatic Soviet soldier whose confidence masks both danger and longing. Their connection begins in official spaces governed by rules and routines, then deepens in the margins of the city, where each meeting becomes more precarious than the last. As Berlin tightens and choices narrow, Shane must confront parts of himself he has never named, while Ilya faces the cost of loyalty, love and the possibility of escape.

Summary
The Sunfolk and the Nightfolk have been enemies for centuries. It's hard to even say what started this animosity, but it's only grown stronger each generation. In order to maintain their dominance over the Lunare, the royalty of Solare imposes a marriage "alliance" once per generation, joining their strongest heir with an heir of the night court.
Ilya is surprised to find that the magic that decides the Solare heir per generation resides within him, and he's now to travel to Lunare and choose a reluctant betrothed. Shane is terrified once he realizes the Sunfolk heir is going to choose someone unexpected as his bride, throwing their plans of rebellion into the air. As a solution, he offers himself.
Ilya accepts.
or:
Shane and Ilya are heirs of opposing enemy fae nations, Lunare and Solare, and are joined in an alliance through marriage against their will. Their relationship is purely physical, until the resentment and bitterness towards each other turns into something else as they slowly learn about each other more and more.

Summary
Shane and Ilya are married, in love, and bound together both on and off the ice as teammates chasing playoff glory. From the outside, they look unbreakable—flawless chemistry during games, shared victories, and a season that seems to promise everything they’ve worked for. But behind closed doors, the cracks begin to show. Small fights turn into quiet resentments, habits go unchecked, and nights spent waiting become a painful routine. As love struggles against exhaustion, control, and escape, Shane is forced to confront how much he’s willing to endure to keep their marriage alive—and whether some things, once broken, can truly be fixed.
(I read a tweet that someone wants some really angsty Hollanov fic and this just sparked something inside me to write this)
