"I'm Marya's protégé." Olethra hears the words ring out, watches the porcelain face in front of her shift with something. As articulate as the features may be, the impassivity of the expression still means Olethra can't figure out what the Queen of Zern's next move is.
"Are you, now?" Ludmila's voice is different; softer, quieter. No, not quieter, just- it's inside the mech. It's only inside the mech. "If that's true, if she replaced me so easily, she can do it once more."
The voice is replaced by a softly building static, the kind of noise that's nearly imperceptible at first and grows until it's all Olethra can notice. She keys back in when the MechLeod starts moving on it's own, shaking her head to clear the shimmering stars in the corners of her vision. Grabbing at the controls to try and redirect the mech proves futile, her movements becoming more desperate as she tries to regain control.
"No, no, no, no, no, no."
