Summary
“For a man with such power, you do seem to enjoy having it taken away.” Astarion mused. Gale merely stared in response.
Looking at his sweet face, contorted in desperation, Astarion couldn’t help but wonder how far he could take it. How much could he shorten the leash before his little mage would pull away.
Astarion leaned in until his lips were ghosting over Gale’s ear. He sighed deeply and felt the man shudder beneath him.
“Tell me, would you do anything I asked of you?”

Summary
Wyll thought to himself sometimes about the day he and Astarion had spent alone together in the upper floor of the Elfsong. Especially about Astarion’s teasing suggestion that “when we have a home together, I’ll have to help you find all the places we can take each other.”
At the time he’d been imagining a rustic, humble home on the outskirts of the city with a warm fireplace. Perhaps a little garden.
He’d forgotten, somehow, about the grand Ravengard estate, and the expectations of there being a certain level of opulence in the home of the Grand Duke.
He’d also forgotten the fact that they’d be living with his father.

Summary
The implicit threat of the return of, as Lae’zel puts it, the fever, should make her concerned. It exacerbates the danger Lae’zel swims through each day, takes one sword after another from defending her back. But her mind catches on it, like a fish on a hook, wriggling and squirming and never tearing free.
There’s a dizzying abyss there, a spiral of thoughts she could let herself fall into, so easy to let herself be caught in the whirlpool that leads from one thought to another- the inevitable end to the chain of thoughts that she can almost hear- almost, if she let herself descend into that pathetic set of thoughts. She hears it press on the bones of her skull, but tries to let the thought lie still, unexplored. The fever exists. Continues. Cycles. Breathes that thought in, tries to muster the nerve to exorcise it.
By the gods, she is pathetic. To hear worrying news from an old friend in dangerous circumstances and be unable to stop herself from wondering if it means she’ll be back.
I do not know what else you wish to hear from me, Lae’zel writes.
Anything, Shadowheart thinks, ashamed of the desperation present even in the thought.

Summary
Half a year after the Netherbrain is defeated, Gale has a problem that only Astarion can help with. The wizard has miraculously met just the right woman for him, but after decades of purely non-corporeal delights he's rubbish in bed, and desperately needs Astarion's expertise to save his new relationship.
From where Astarion stands, the plan has no downsides: there's no way giving sex lessons to his kind, generous, inventive, and very attractive friend can lead to the vampire catching feelings.- Language:
