Summary
Sendo Takeshi has always had a bit of an obsession with Makunouchi Ippo. Their latest fight makes him reconsider whether or not that obsession is purely based on wanting to fight the strongest fighters. Steve has his back to the door, so he doesn’t actually see it open. He also doesn’t need to, because the crack of it bouncing against the tiled wall is probably loud enough to be heard outside the building. Tommy stops talking, grin freezing on his face. His eyes go huge.
“Greetings, gentlemen,” says a voice. “Hope I’m not disturbing anything?”
Silence drops. Nobody laughs. Instead, the entire room stares at the newcomer with expressions matching Tommy’s - wide-eyed, open-mouthed surprise.
“Jesus,” someone whispers. Steve turns.
“Munson is fine,” says Eddie Munson. He’s leaning in the open door, tall and unashamed, thin rivulets of water running from his wet hair and down his neck and shoulders. His grin is large and wolfish, and a little bit unhinged.
He’s not wearing the cheerleading uniform.
He's not wearing anything at all.
