Summary
“Father Viktor has brought back all those programs you whined about missing. The East Hall is being converted into a soup kitchen as we speak, and after Mass there’s going to be an open-doors Christmas meal,” his mother says wistfully, drinking in a sip from her mug.
Jayce is going to have to see that for himself. His high income neighborhood and the prestigious, self-righteous families that attend the Church? Rubbing elbows with people in need for the holidays?
Maybe he really does need to meet Father Viktor. And shake his hand.
─── ⋆⋅ ♰ ⋅⋆ ───
Or: Jayce comes home for the holidays after a breakup to find a new priest at his childhood Catholic church. Father Viktor is not the kind of person Jayce ever expected to be a priest, but he has a dream to change Jayce's hometown for the better, and he decides to do everything he can to help. The more he helps, the more Jayce sees glimpses of Viktor, the man, not the priest. And the more glimpses he sees of Viktor, the more Jayce is so, so fucked.

Summary
“I do not doubt for a moment that you will return. You are incredibly strong and cunning, not to mention exceedingly lucky. Everything will go according to your plans. I am certain of it.”
I'm afraid.
I don’t know if I can do this by myself.
“Ratio,” he manages to utter before their lips meet, the heat and need for pleasure taking over the crevices of his mind again. Aventurine presses against the other man, his body having gone too long without any stimulation. With a sense of urgency, he parts his legs and wraps them around Ratio’s waist. “Fuck me.”
The words feel wrong.
Make love to me.
This first and final time.
Sunday misuses his powers of the Harmony to send Aventurine into heat. He panics. Ratio steps in to help. They share an unexpectedly romantic heat before Aventurine must leave to finish his mission.

Summary
Flowers are strange, beautiful things.
Colorful, silent beings.
Elegant, graceful blooms.
Blossoms that only speak with an honest tongue.Aventurine and Ratio has lived together for almost a year. So far, they would share the sentiment that life together has been simple yet enjoyable. They're close friends, as they would say.
Except sometimes, some things can blossom in a close relationship.
And, they can also come out of someone's mouth.

Summary
If his eyes could glow, he'd most certainly sell them. Anyone would be a fool not to.
When his information and photo is put onto a black market website with a hefty sum for his head, it is Aventurine himself who takes on the task of infiltrating the market with the intent to either raze it to the ground, or turn it into something profitable for the IPC. Truly, the only entertaining element is that it is Veritas Ratio who must follow him through a swarm of hunters waiting to sink their claws deep into his throat.

Summary
Ratio presses one of the buttons, and the screen lights up. The numbers on it flash for a moment before settling at 0.200.
“In this area alone, the concentration of ambient memoria is 200 millisomni per square inch. Not enough to induce hallucinations, but we may have some interesting dreams while we’re here. And the citizens of Vara-II have been having such dreams likely their entire lives. The effects of nuclear radiation on memoria have not been studied, so I can’t say for sure what effects this has had on their societal development. But I doubt it’s helped them keep a level head.”
(During a negotiation on a planet with a history of IPC-enabled nuclear warfare, Aventurine and Ratio get stuck alone in an old fallout shelter-turned-museum after a bomb drops, with Aventurine severely injured. They've got the supplies to last until an IPC rescue ship can arrive, but the planet's already-unstable memoria has been stirred up, and they're periodically forced to relive the memories of the shelter's original inhabitants. And things didn't go well for the shelter's original inhabitants.)

Bookmarker's Notes
this was heart wrenching and beautiful. I thought i was good with gore but I overestimated myself as I almost felt the pain myself. it was a really good read nonetheless and I would read it again in the future.
