They couldn’t be in the clear until they knew where Satoru – or his body – went. It felt like something bad was going to happen, a tsunami of unavoidable change washing over them. In a way, it did, but she was expecting to bury her classmate, not witness their trio shattering and the King of Curses vinded around him like a vine. And Shoko certainly didn’t expect to hear from Satoru that he has a home to buy for “his kids to live a better life”.
