    The first time Lucanis saw Rook, he thought a desire demon was attempting to entrance him. There was no other explanation for how the man of every fantasy he could ever imagine was right there in front of him—in the Ossuary, of all places.

    Then Rook spoke, and Lucanis was brought back to reality, because in his perfect fantasy, there was no way his dream man would speak with a Tevene accent. But Rook did.
