Summary
What did Carolyn mean when she said Villanelle owed her a dare?
Death is easy, and much too simple for someone as clever as Carolyn, or as stubborn as Villanelle. The assassin is much more useful when she's alive and willing to do one last dare for a chance at a life with the woman she loves...
But how will Eve, grieving and oblivious, cope with another separation, one she believes is permanent? What will it look like as they fight their way back to each other, and towards a future they can share?
this is a story about love's ability to endure, and soften even the sharpest edges. There will be no burying of gays, and while there will be quite a bit of angst in the early chapters, I promise the comfort will make it worth it.murder wives content so warnings for descriptions of injury/death have been put in place in case ur squeamish. If there are any additional trigger warnings for specific chapters, I will put them in the top notes, and then leave a narrative summary of the chapter in the end notes.
This is a rewrite of the s4 ending and moving into a headcanon/AU i have for a s5 and beyond (and a happy ending, for once, for the gays. smh laura do better)
