This can be read completely independently, chapter's 1-9 are exactly the same as my original story, chapter 10 is mostly the same with just some minor differences at the end, forward it will be a different story with a happy ending due to popular demand. There is still a healthy dose of angst, jut, yk, it actually ends well. In the end notes of chapter 10 I will post what the differences in that chapter from the original if people coming from the original work don't want to reread it all

Summary
Hunter needed to leave, everything hurt and he was bleeding everywhere! He felt slightly angry and scared. He shoulsnt feel this way. Uncle punished him all the time why was this different? Maybe it was the yelling, maybe it is how deep the cut is maybe its because he learned things he shouldnt of. He does not know. But what he does know is that he’s running and now he isn’t in the castle. He’s in the woods now and he trips. He looks back and notices the door like structure he tripped on. He pulled it out and it looked like the portal his uncle was making. Just slightly different. He decides to see where it leads.
Or: Hunter finds out he’s a grimwalker and runs away and finds a portal to the realm where haunted hotel takes place (different from the human realm)

Especially when a “supervillain”’s family bonding time consists of battering their team and indirectly bringing about Earth’s decimation.
