Summary
Lo'ak has never felt the need to caress his hands through Aonung's soaked hair like what Neteyam is doing right now. Or to tug at his ears. Or to caress the back of his neck. His eyes are shimmered with an expression that awfully reminds Lo'ak of the times Tsireya first looked at him in their private moments.
And then the realization suddenly dawns on him. It smacks into his brain like the first time he tried to ride an ilu and it slammed his body back into the water.
--
Lo'ak attempts to get Neteyam and Aonung together and drags everyone else into the process.

Summary
“Your brother hates me.” Ao’nung mumbles, tangling his fingers in the net he’s currently trying to detangle. Lo’ak and him have been out all morning, setting nets out in the reef and checking old ones.
“He doesn’t hate you- He just has issues making friends, he was like this back home too. Neteyam also has a staring problem, courtesy of our mother,” Lo’ak says, bumping his shoulder against Ao’nung’s and handing back the net, watching closely as Ao’nung casts it perfectly.
or
Ao’nung thinks Neteyam hates him because he’s been avoiding him since he got shot, and when he does look at him, it’s usually with an indescribable look on his face.
Neteyam simply doesn’t know how to tell Ao’nung he likes him, resorting to staring and pining from afar.
Until Lo’ak figures it out and perhaps forces his big brother to get a move on. Out of love of course, not because watching them both pine is making him sick.

Summary
“Do they even need friends?” Ao’nung asks, curiously. Tuk can already envision Ao’nung’s parenting. That poor baby. At least, they would have her.
“Are you even asking me that right now?” Neteyam replies, the stress in his voice palpable.
“It’s going to be ok,” Ao’nung reassures. He takes hold of Neteyam’s hands and squeezes them. “They can be friends with the ilu,” he then says with absolute sincerity.
“The ilu?!”
Or,
Tuk overhears a conversation she was never supposed to and somehow makes it everyone's problem.

Summary
Neteyam is struggling to adjust to life with the Metkayina. While his family seems to be fitting in fine, he can't seem to figure out his place in the clan. He feels the desperate need to prove himself, especially to the Olo'eyktan's son Aonung but can't seem to stop failing. Despite his aversion to the other Na'vi, Neteyam agrees to let Aonung teach him the ways of the Metkayina. And maybe through their lessons, Neteyam will learn more than just how to swim.

Summary
Back home, Neteyam was a hunter. An unparalleled archer of his age. An expert ikran rider. Here in the reefs of Awa’atlu, it was as if the waves had washed away all of his past—his training, his accomplishments, his stature. Everything except his family and their expectations, because above all else, he was an eldest son.
But there was one thing he hadn’t lost to the water. His hands, that had made his bow from the remains of the Home Tree, that had made the visor he donned on his last ride from the mountains. His hands, that could weave and build. His skills of craft would always stay with him, and they could be just the thing to help the Sully family acclimatize to sea life—the way for him to protect his family.(In which Neteyam uses Na’vi craftsmanship to make gear for swimming.)
