This is like 5 "5+1" fics in one- for five different emotions: envy, fear, anger, sadness, joy
Based off of the fact I thought these were the five emotions in Inside Out (what the hell is Disgust doing there??) and Theo's insane take in "Triggered" on people only feeling one emotion at a time. No, no, bro- that's just you. You are emotionally stunted.
So then I thought of Theo as a kid who didn't know how to understand and process emotions, and this behemoth was born.

Summary
Liam’s heart aches. Why hasn’t he considered Theo’s upbringing? He’d focused on the crap Theo put them through, and when the older pack members left for college, Liam had been so absorbed in his new leadership role he’d never spared a thought for Theo’s troubled history.
“We can’t fix everything, Liam,” Mason says. “You can’t fix everyone.”
“Yeah, but we try.” His determination increases with each passing mile marker. “We don’t give up. That’s who we are.”
Mason flips on the blinker. “We don’t give up when it’s someone innocent; when it’s someone alone. When it’s one of our friends.”
Liam sits up, eyes on the route unfolding ahead. “Theo’s my friend.”
There’s a belligerent hint of alpha command in his voice, but Mason doesn’t call him on it. He just laughs and asks, “Does Theo know that?”

When a coven of witches comes to town, Liam ends up hospitalized after a fight — Except he doesn’t seem to be healing, and it’s sparking worry amongst the pack.
Cue Liam unconsciously wreaking even more havoc via an incredibly fluffy tail and inability to understand any English. Good thing Theo’s there to be his (sometimes also incredibly fluffy) anchor.
Or, Liam earns the ability to full-shift. If only he could earn the ability to shift back.
