Jeongguk sighed, closing his eyes. He looked tense. "Can I… get… your number?" He opened one eye, gauging Seokjin's reaction.
Seokjin stared.
Jeongguk stared back.
"What?" Seokjin asked again.
"What?" Jeongguk echoed, voice shaking. He laughed nervously. "Ah, forget I said anything, sorry about that, I'll just… leave," then, quieter, "and die in a ditch or something."

(From the beginning they had said it was for fun, a nice distraction, getting off like it was a hobby. Friendship with just a bit extra. They knew what the other wanted: a good time, trust, warmth, a little bit of love, but never love that crossed the line. Easy.)
