When he finally processes what was said, he barely stops himself from spitting out his water, but he can’t help but choke as it goes down. After a while, he manages, “Wh-What?”
Jiang Cheng and his roommate Nie Huaisang spend a completely, totally normal afternoon together. There most certainly aren't any hands involved.

Summary
The liquor seeps into the earth, the same way Lan Wangji feels tension seep back inside of him, held tight within his chest, radiating down through his clenched fists. Wei Wuxian is a typhoon touching down on the coast of Lan Wangji’s life, and it leaves his mind in ruins. He finds himself meditating more often, returning things more often, having to hold onto Bichen so tight he almost worries he won’t be able to separate his skin from the hilt. He grips his sword tighter still, when he dares to wonder — maybe, maybe his life will never be the same after this, yet he cannot even begin to understand why.
In canon, Lan Wangji is already known for taking many things… But what if he actually had kleptomania? In other words: Mo Dao Zu Shi from Lan Wangji’s POV.

“Well, aren’t there a lot of queer people in color guard by default?” Mo Xuanyu asks.
Nie Huaisang, unlocking their phone and checking the team’s social media account, adds, “That’s a stereotype, but really, you’re not wrong.”
Jiang Cheng finds himself jumping into the conversation before he can think twice about it. “I thought the stereotype was that it’s mostly girls in color guard.”
“They’re not mutually exclusive,” Wen Qing replies.

There's a stereotype that people in color guard are mostly women and/or are gay. Jiang Cheng gets caught up in a conversation about it, and promptly has a mini crisis about his gender and sexuality upon realizing he's the only cishet person on the team.
