Lucifer didn't think anything would make him get along with Alastor. Sure, they could exist in the same general vicinity without tearing each other to shreds, simply throwing snide comments at each other and backing off before things got too heated, but even with that relative peace Lucifer was convinced there wasn't a single thing they could mutually get along over.
That was, until a pleasant night spent in the foyer with jazz music crackling over the speakers, some alcohol, and good old fashioned gossip forced Lucifer to reconsider whether he and Alastor really were all so different.

Tech’s last mission had been to rescue Crosshair, and here she was, just a stone’s throw away from their lost brother. Tech didn’t have to die in vain either, Omega realized.
She stood up on wobbly, aching legs, wiping her face with the back of her hand. She could grieve once she left this place; for now, she was going to fulfill Tech’s final mission.

Turns out, Julian is secretly trying to reconnect with his Muslim heritage for the month of Ramadan, so has been going without food or water during daylight hours, as religious tradition decrees. Well! In that case! If Garak can’t have lunch with his dear doctor, dawn and dusk meals will certainly do. And if he happens to linger afterwards... that’s probably not against the rules.
