Summary
Roy and Jamie make a bet that Jamie shouldn't win. In true Jamie Tartt fashion, however, he flips the expectations, and his winner's terms open up parts of Roy he's spent a long, long time forgetting.
It's a good thing Jamie can rip him apart, make him look at it, and put him back together.

Summary
“The musical My Fair Lady,” Beard says, not lowering his book, “is based on the 1913 play Pygmalion by Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw, which is in turn based on the Greek myth of the sculptor Pygmalion.”
“So?”
“Pygmalion—” Beard’s looking at him from over his book now with that nonplussed stare—“sculpts a statue he finds so perfect that he falls in love with his creation.”
Roy finds himself glancing back through the doorway just as Jamie pulls off his shirt, pausing to fix his hair in the mirror before he opens the locker to grab his kit.
When Roy turns around, Beard’s buried in his book again.
“Right.” Roy frowns and shuts the door.

Summary
He’d left the pub and his half finished beer with an awkward good night to Ted and headed out into the night with no direction in mind. When he crawls up out of his brain long enough to check in, he’s surprised to find that somehow, he ended up only a few blocks away from Roy’s place, on Roy's doorstep, ringing Roy's Doorbell.
Roy’s face morphs from annoyance, to confusion, to anger, his eyebrows pinched together. He opens his mouth to speak, but doesn’t get a chance before Jamie chokes out, “I fucked up.”

Summary
“Tartt! I know you’re in there and we’re going to be fucking late-” Roy cuts off right as Jamie swings open the door. He looks pissed, but Jamie watches as he takes him in, his eyes widening and mouth gaping in a way that would be downright comical if Jamie wasn’t currently channeling most of his focus into standing up straight. “Woah. You look like shit.”
“That’s fucking rude.” Jamie scoffs, right as he loses the fight against keeping his balance and sways forward.

Summary
“Why’d you buy your house, then?” Jamie asks.
Roy sighs. “Because an estate agent told me I should.”
“D’you like it?”
“I hate it,” Roy says heavily, and it’s surprisingly freeing to admit out loud. He sits back in his seat, feeling like an elephant has stepped off his chest.
“So sell it. Buy something you like. Life’s too short, right?” Jamie says, like it’s so easy.
It actually…probably is that easy. In the grand scheme of things. He just needs to ring an estate agent, put his house on the market, and buy a new one. People do it literally every day. Jamie Tartt figured it out, so it can’t be impossible. Fuck.
