Zooble knew he could just walk away right now. Back to her own room, Jax would probably thank her. He didn’t know why they weren’t walking back right now, turning on these @&#^%ing wobbly cartoon legs and pretending nothing was happening.
Of course she knew why. The sound of a little crying was always distinctly different from someone who was big, and of course he knew this and of course she had to at least check. Make sure everything was alright. Damn years of caregiving.

"It all started the same. The first reset opened in the same manner. Reset number 16 also started that way. Reset number 425 began identical to all the rest. Who would have guessed that reset number 15,036,749 started the same as well?"
Stanely becomes exhausted from living the same life over and over. While in another boring reset, he notices the catwalk in the warehouse, a place he hasn't visited in forever. He can't remember why and jumps down.
Basically, Stanley finds the zending and spirals into a panic attack before someone unexpected pulls him out of it. It ends up very happy as the now united pair wander through a more positive ending together.

he’d had many a late night like this recently. it paradoxically seemed that the more he worked, the harder it was to sleep, and whoa, had he been working. there wasn’t a single day that he wasn’t in the studio now, hosting, directing, interviewing, managing…he was needed so often, it was hard to remember exactly what the job was like before the jump in ratings.
but at the end of the broadcast, after dispatching from the attention of the audience, cohosts, and techs, when he rolled into the condo close to one o’clock, a sinking, cold numbness would grow in his chest and weigh him down more harshly by the week. he knew it didn’t used to feel this bad, except for right after—he winced and raised the glass.
