Summary
The air in the kitchen was rich with the scent of baking.
He reached around her, chest warm against her back, and set the serving spoon on the counter. For a moment they lingered there—her whisking, him solid and present. The cream was smooth and pale, catching the afternoon light.
“Perfect timing on the cake,” he murmured, lips brushing the shell of her ear.
“Is it? I feel like I just… began,” she admitted with a laugh. “But it smells right.”
“When you’re busy up here”—he tapped lightly at her temple—“time doesn’t stand a chance.”
She arched an eyebrow, fighting back a smile. “If focus could bend temporal mechanics, arithmancers would be immortal.”
“Only the clever ones who survive the paradox cascade. You’d navigate it flawlessly, of course.”
The cream had formed perfect peaks, but Hermione barely noticed. Her whisk hovered mid-air, eyes wide. Something hot and electric shot through her chest as his words sank in.
“Who are you?” she whispered in awe. The timer chimed then, mellow and silver, harmonizing with the wind chimes.Bookmarked by splushy1

Summary
War is not skin-deep. It cuts to the marrow.
This is not a story. It is a war journal. What if Voldemort had won?
What if Ron Weasley had broken?
What if the last hope of the wizarding world lay in the hands of a girl, and a boy raised by monsters?
Gringotts has fallen. Hogwarts is under siege. The Ministry is a farse. Harry is presumed dead. Hermione has vanished.
Ron Weasley — bitter, and branded — has returned not as a brother, but a hunter.
But he isn’t the only one hunting her.
Draco Malfoy, disgraced and unraveling, is caught in a race to find Hermione first. What begins as a mission becomes something else entirely as he sees her brilliance, her defiance, her capacity to survive the very world that is trying to erase her.
Across gutted cities and cursed vaults, through loss, betrayal, and crumbling alliances, Marrow follows those left behind in the shadow of a tyrant’s victory. The resistance is fractured. The dead are mounting.
In a world where Unforgivables are policy, magical creatures are enslaved or extinct, and love itself is a liability — survival isn’t noble.
It’s necessary. Nobody walks out clean.

Summary
“Oh, if your father says it’s important, it must be!”
“—says it’s important to be on the side of those that wield influence. Umbridge is indeed a cunt but she does call the shots now.”
“And what about being on the right side of history?”
Malfoy rolled his eyes. “The right side of history—listen to yourself. You Gryffindors can be so self-important. It’s a student association, not a peace negotiation corps. We’re not fighting in a war, Granger.”
“We might be,” said Harry darkly.
The Dark Lord has risen and his grip on the wizarding world is tightening. Even Hogwarts and home no longer seem safe when Hermione, Draco, Harry, and Ron return for their fifth year. As the world grows colder and more polarised, the kids are confronted with the precarity of the connections they’ve made. With the cost of honesty higher than ever, will their bond survive the onset of the Second Wizarding War?
AU coming-of-age retelling of the HP books, multi-POV.
