And before Jack could even get a word in edgewise, Steven rattled off, “You’re always talking to yourself, the kids don’t like your attitude, and you don’t even know our token to dollar exchange rate.”
Jack didn’t see his point. “So?”

Summary
“Forget it,” Dave shifts up, presumably to slip off the bed. Jack’s eyebrows furrow, and his hand slips down to Dave’s shoulder, the other holding his weight as he sits up. The pressure isn’t a lot–Dave’s stronger than him, he could easily leave if he wanted–but he stays, knelt there on the edge of the bed.
“Hey, I didn’t mean… I wasn’t trying to be an ass.” Dave’s cheek caves in, presumably chewing on it. Jack leans up further for a better view of Dave’s face, shaded by the strands of thin hair that slip from his bun. “Talk to me, man.”

Summary
Jack thought for a surprisingly short while before an idea came to him. A plan.
He got off the bed, walked to face the television, positioned himself in front of it, and punched it with all his strength.
The cheap screen shattered the instant his fist made contact. Brushing off the debris from his shirt, Jack, ignoring the pain in his fist, walked over to the hotel telephone. He dialed a number and waited as it rang.
“Dave? Yeah, it’s me. Think my TV’s broken. Uh-huh, pretty sure. No, yeah, I tried the remote. Yup. Well. In any case, I’m bored. Can I stop by?”
In which Jack hatches a plan to get him and Dave to share a hotel room in Vegas.
