Summary
Tom has never needed anyone. Why would he? He has himself, his magic, his intellect. He can defeat anything. He can defeat death. Or so he believes, right up until the night of his eighteenth birthday when he murders his family and creates his second horcrux and, somehow, finds himself dead. Then, fifty years later, he wakes up.
Harry's having a crap time of it. Voldemort's back, Dumbledore's ignoring him, the Order won't let him in on their secrets, and according to the papers, Harry's a liar. The nightmares, the pain peppering his scar, the floods of anger - they're not helping. What he really needs is a distraction.
Good thing Harry and Tom are on a collision course.

Basically my excuse to write submissive Tom Riddle, because that man is touch starved, and abused. Hopefully this is half-readable.

The thing is, for a battered, loveless child like him there was only one thing he wanted; Tom wanted it more than he wanted fame and recognition, more than he wanted wealth or status. Family. His disgusting nature however didn’t let him have one; making everyone quiver in fear at his scent, no matter how hard he tried. His instincts didn’t deem anyone good enough, or maybe he didn’t deem himself good enough.

Alternatively, after being conceived with amortentia the baby can feel love, but it’s borderline obsessive. Tom isn’t that weird about it though.

Harry had always disliked the titles that were thrust upon him. First he was a freak, then he became the-boy-who-lived, and before he knew it he had been a liar, a traitor and the undesirable number one.
The point was, his names were numerous and they were all a pain in his ass. His newest one was no better, of course. Even in his wildest dreams he wouldn’t imagine Voldemort calling him his soulmate.
