“C’mere, baby.”
Dennis crawls to him, on his hands and knees, until he reaches Robby’s thighs. He settles between them, kneels. He anxiously slides his hands up and down Robby’s upper thighs, watching his face.
Robby looks back at him, face relaxed save for a tiny grin.
“I’ve never…” Dennis starts but does not finish.
“ ‘S okay. Daddy’ll teach you, baby. Start with what feels natural.”

Summary
Dennis doesn’t leave, not yet. He sits with his back against the wall, watching Pope.
It suddenly seems so quiet and small in this room. The silence is so loud, which seems impossible, but it buzzes hard in Dennis’s ears.
He observes the way the moonlight from the window shines on the sweat on Pope’s skin. He gets up.
Pope stirs before speaking, “Where’re you going?”
“I’m just going to the couch so you can get some sleep.”
“Don’t sleep on the couch. Sleep here.”
Dennis pauses. The words hang heavily in the air. Alarm bells go off in Dennis’s head, the thought of crawling into bed with a man who uses butane torches for first aid purposes, who probably has a gun or two stashed around his apartment– this mysterious, obvious escape plan apartment.
But something strong inside of him wants to, wants to curl up into this man’s mattress and fall asleep next to him. That very irrational part of him is winning.
OR
When Jack Abbot's estranged brother shows up at the Pitt seeking his help, he asks Dennis for a favor: take care of Pope's injury and observe him for forty-eight hours. Things get complicated fast.

Summary
He isn’t in bad shape by any means, and just because he’s younger doesn’t mean he has that much of an advantage over him. He’s probably more fit than Dennis is, with those jobs and that fucking boxing–
He hears something. Leaves crunching. Not fast, they’re slow, calculating steps.
Dennis gets to his feet and takes off again. His legs never stopped hurting, but it doesn’t matter right now; he just fucking runs.

In these delightfully sinful moments, he feels like he could die happy. It might sound morbid, but he’s got Robby, his boss, eating his husband's spend from him like he’s starving. Jack’s petting his head and telling him what a good boy he is, how he is doing so well in a hushed, soft voice he knows no one else gets to hear. It’s so intimate, this place in their lives he’s been let into. His sleepy, blissed-out brain begs the question again: What is this? How could this be anything but love? The thought repeats like a mantra, and tears spill from his closed eyes again.

Robby stays on his knees by the couch. Dennis walks over to him, towering above him. He finally feels in control of the situation again, the way it was supposed to be when they started this… arrangement or whatever you call it. He pinches Robby’s chin the way he likes doing to Dennis so much, “Go pick out what strap I’m fucking you with.”
