Summary
They were supposed to be rehearsing. At least, that’s what Joe thought. But then the latest in their string of not-quite-right drummers had flaked on them, and Pete had gotten bored and started teasing Patrick, and the whole thing sort of fell apart. Really, it wasn’t all that unusual of a night for them — so Joe isn’t completely sure how he ended up here. “Here” being atop Pete Wentz’s lap with his best friend sitting at the end of the couch, watching.

Summary
It’s silent in Adam’s kitchen, so much so that he can almost forget that there’s someone else sleeping in the other room. His coffee machine gurgles as it finishes brewing a fresh pot and Adam stares at it blankly, looking at the two mugs he had set down next to it without even thinking. He doesn’t know when he got in the habit of doing that.
How many nights has it been now that Ghoul has stayed over? Twenty? Thirty? Enough that he has a favorite mug, at least. Enough that Adam knows that he prefers evening showers and Hallmark movies — enough that this is starting to feel less like a dirty affair and more like his life, and that that terrifies Adam.

Summary
The room is silent and dark. It’s the middle of the night and Adam is wide awake. He had been asleep just a few moments ago, when it was still just him in his apartment, but he was awoken by a strange shuffling in his room.
Adam looks over to his window to find it pushed open, ushering in freezing air. Underneath it are long, deep scratch marks on the wooden ledge, as if something had clumsily forced its way into his second floor apartment. The thin curtains beside the window blow in the breeze and the room is cast in shades of blue from the faint light of the moon.
