Sunday should have expected this, honestly. He hadn’t been taking proper care of himself and his body since he joined the express (or even when he was in the IPC’s custody). It was only a short matter of time before that would catch up to him.

Summary
After being assigned his room on the Astral Express, the first thing Sunday does is remove his halo.
Penance is a long journey, one made arduous by the unpredictability of his new hosts. Perhaps his ultimate repentance will come after he learns to embrace disorder, but the current him is incapable of doing such. The Astral Express has no interest in being his new captors, but Sunday has lived his whole life in a cage.
Perhaps chaos is exactly what he needs to find absolution.
