PROMPT: Thor/Supernatural crossover - So Loki falls to earth, and spends a while getting back on his feet. It's not so hard, with magic at his fingertips, and eventually he's living quite comfortably. And then these two humans show up and an ANGEL shows up and they think he's somebody or other named Gabriel back from the dead, and before he knows it he's neck-deep in demons and curses and ghosts.

Jason rolled the cigarette between his fingers. He gave Bruce a small, humorless smile. “Maybe that’s the point. Maybe the line isn’t meant to be held. Maybe it’s meant to be bled through.”
“I thought we were past this,” Bruce said quietly.
“Are we ever past anything, B?”
“I thought we were rebuilding trust.”
“We were.” Jason tilted his head back and exhaled smoke toward the ceiling. “And now we’re doing renovations again. It’s very Gotham of us.”
In which Jason kills a man who would have walked. In the hushed ruins of a forgotten church, he tells Bruce why.

Jason's been sick for weeks and nothing he does seems to help. He's not ready for his confrontation with the Bat. He's not ready for his plans to fall apart when they've barely begun.
But his illness isn't stopping. One warm Gotham night, he hits a metaphorical wall.
Nightwing finds Red Hood on a rooftop. It's been a long night, but it might be looking up. After all, finally capturing the Red Hood will make Gotham that much safer.
Neither one of them are prepared for the fallout.

Halfa Jason isn't doing well and collapses when he's only just started his Red Hood plans. Nightwing shares the trauma of finding a dying Jason with the whole Batcave, just in time for everyone to see him vanish into a red gem.
Then they discover from Wonder Woman that gem is the wounded form of someone from the Realms -- otherwise known as the home of the dead. So they didn't even really get Jason back, they think, he just came back for his unfinished business (the Joker) and then they'll lose him across the Veil again.
Jason knows nothing about anything and is just very confused. And mad.
