Summary
If Spencer were a typical human he’d say that he can’t remember the last time he’d packed pyjamas in his to go bag. But that's not who he is, Spencer remembers the exact date and the exact moment he’d decided to stop.
He and Derek had been together for a few weeks, not long in real terms of a lifetime, but it had felt like they’d been together for years with how long they’d danced around the blurred edges of their relationship.
Even when Spencer would bring his own clothes, Derek would stubble into Spencer’s room, eyes half closed in exhaustion and curl up onto Spencer’s bed.
He’d reach behind his head to take his own t-shirt off, soft, oversized and worn down with love.
Spencer would take it without question and tuck it over his body, snuggling into the warmth and comfort of Derek’s scent.
Then they’d curl up together, Spencer half on top of Derek before they would drift off to sleep, at ease in each other’s arms even during the worst of their cases.

Or Spencer and Derek's nightly ritual on cases often involves sharing clothes, having sex, and snuggling in together as they fall asleep in each others arms.
