Summary
A woman from one of the assimilated sections of the Gotoro Empire desires to find some peace in her life in the Ferngill Republic. She was fortunate to find a friend among her travels who could give her that chance upon a dilapidated farm out in the far country that he had inherited from his great uncle on his mother's side.
The story may have different roots from where it could have began, but the growth of friendship and community between the bean trellises and pumpkin vines yields the same produce to last a lifetime.
