Charles Francis Xavier is great at multitasking. He's a pioneer for mutant led research, a professor, and expecting his first baby with his husband Erik. When he reconnects with his old friend Hank McCoy, now a doctor specialising in care for mutant omegas, he realises Hank still has a crush from his teenage years on Charles' sister Raven. Charles realises he can probably get a doctor and a brother-in-law out of this, if he plays his cards right, and if Erik could stop being suspicious for just a minute.

Summary
A Lord of the Rings AU where Sauron wins, explored through the relationship of a deserter from a Haradrim army and a Uruk-Hai soldier.
In the Paths of the Dead, Aragorn falls, and so do all those with him, thus damning Minas Tirith, Gondor, and the world to a bleak future under the Dark Lord Sauron. Even the Ringbearer succumbs to the darkness in his heart brought on by the ring, and the cursed jewel is returned to its master, plunging Middle Earth further into an endless night.

Ten years ago, at the fall of Minas Tirith, young, inexperienced Haradrim medic Kathar saved the life of the Uruk-Hai soldier Grenshaw. The uruk leaves Kathar with his sword and a promise that he is forever in the human's debt.
