    For a split second Maria can’t help but wonder what life would have been like if she’d had the son she and Howard had wanted.  Would she have loved him?  Would Howard have?  Would she have cared more than she can bring herself to care for Natasha?

    Maria doesn’t know.

    At this point she doesn’t want to know.

    So she ignores Margaret’s disapproving glare and tightly pursed lips.  Doesn’t even bother to really acknowledge either her obvious displeasure or the tense look on the boy’s face.

    Instead she just arches a brow at the whole lot of them before she turns on her heel and sweeps back up the stairs and into her rooms with as much grace as she can manage.

    After the superhero civil war, the Rogue Avengers are back in the US and eager to right their wrongs and make amends. When they arrive at Stark Tower to speak with Tony, Steve and the others are disheartened to learn that in their absence, Tony Stark has been kidnapped. If they want to make their apologies, talk things out, and work to rebuild their relationship as a team (and hopefully as a family), they first have to track down Tony and save his life.

    And as if that's not bad enough, they realize that while they were gone Tony's replaced them with a new team, new friends, and a cat.

We wait till he blows up another super secret facility whose mysteriously undocumented existence doesn’t make me suspicious at all?”
    “Germany!” Rogers blurts out, interrupting Tony’s epic stare-down with Fury.

    In which the surviving Post-Endgame Avengers find themselves back in 2012, trying to stop Loki from invading the Earth. Without tipping their not-in-the-know team members off. Things go— sideways.

    Months after the Avengers' dispute in Germany, the team returns to the US and moves back into the tower. As always, everyone pretends that nothing happened. Tony is just fine with this. He's used to pretending, and he'll be damned if he lets any of them see him flinch.

    Tony's the bad guy, after all. He's used to it. He's fine with it. He's good at it.

    Only now, there's something far worse loitering around the tower - The Winter Soldier. No one notices the guy at first, but when they do, Tony figures that he should have the soldier's back.

    Birds of a feather should flock together, and the bad guys should start a book club.
