Samira hadn't entirely understood the juxtaposition of the glint in Dana's eye and the sadness in her tone when she'd informed Samira that Jack Abbot was on the roof.
"Getting some air," Dana had put it, like she was in on a sad joke Samira wasn't privy to.
So Samira climbed the stairs all the way to the top, pushing the door until it gave way to dark skies and warm August air, present even at the late–or perhaps early–hour. Her eyes found Abbot, standing past the guardrail a few yards away, on the ledge.

“You’re worse than Abbot, you know?”
“What do you mean?”
“He threw a temper tantrum about the sabbatical—”
“You’re sending him on vacation, too?”

Glancing at Abbot, who turned back to the screen but was now massaging his neck, Dana smiled one of her signature mischievous grins. "You know, I've just had an excellent idea. Dr. Abbot, you're not coming in until tomorrow evening, why don't you take advantage of McKay's indisposition and take a lesson at Samira's?"
Or, Abbot comes over for a yoga class and they both can't keep it in their pants any longer.
