Summary
Post season 4, Mike Wheeler starts having nightmares. At first, they are undistinguishable, but soon he can see faces in them. Specifically, Will Byers face. Scared of what they mean, he pushes them away from him, until he maybe, just maybe, can pretend that everything is normal between them. That is, until the nightmares come true and Mike must confront what he truly, actually feels for his best friend if they ever want to make it out alive.
Featuring: Jealous Mike Wheeler in denial, forced proximity in the Upside Down, Mike getting Vecna's curse and coming to some realizations (+ Mike & Nancy sibling relationship).
This is my way of coping with pre-Vol.2 Byler doubt, enjoy!

Something's up with Will. Robin's sure of it. She wants to help. She can see how scared he is, how lonely. She knew that feeling, before she and Nancy fell in love and all that. It doesn't matter that she's too chicken to tell anybody they're together. It's fine. It's great. She's just worried about Will.

Eddie wasn’t friends with Steve, really.
Sure it was nice that they had saved the world together and all and he definitely didn’t hate the guy (especially since apparently ‘King Steve’ was as dead as a doornail), but they weren’t exactly friends either. The guy was a stupid jock, for fucks sake, he was opposite to Eddie in about every way in the book. Had it been two years ago Eddie probably would have been beaten for breaking in, for even so much as looking at the Harrington household.
But here he was now, actively breaking into Steve’s back garden in order give him a piece of his mind. In order to let Steve know that people cared about him of all things.

In which Steve is a dumbass who self-isolates post-Vecna and pushes just about everyone away. This leaves it up to Eddie to try and break-in to not only Steve's house but also past his walls of defensiveness, since apparently the guy was never that great at coping with shit in the first place.

Summary
Jackson Hole sat at the base of two mountain ranges, with long, winding rivers that ran around its perimeter. The rolling fields seemed to go on forever and ever, full of bright wildflowers and blooming butterweeds. It was breathtaking to stand on top of the hill and look down at their new home.
It was the kind of shit people would paint pictures of.
It sort of made her want to throw up.
“Whadda’ ya say, kiddo? Ready to go home?” Joel asked.
Home.
He made it sound so fucking simple.
“Yep.” She forced a smile onto her face that she hoped looked believable. “Let’s go, old man.”
OR: After Salt Lake City, Ellie and Joel return to Jackson and try to build a life. Sometimes it’s hard to let go of the past.
