NO. WE THINK SHIELD WANTS TO USE IT TO MAKE WEAPONS.
Steve shakes his head quickly, too quickly. His head rattles a bit too hard as he hands the notepad back. “They can’t. No.”
Stark mouths something so sarcastic Steve can practically hear it, even without his hearing. “Oh, yes they can.”Or... Steve was completely deaf before the serum; there was nothing it could do to fix his hearing. And as it turns out, none of the history books ever thought to mention that Captain America was deaf.

Summary
It had been three months since the invasion, two and a half since the team finally caved and took Tony up on his offer to move into the Tower full time. It was nice to have a family again, even if it was a chaotic family of misfit heroes. Which was why Steve could not, under any circumstances, let them find out about him and Bucky.
So they wouldn’t find out, and everything would be fine.
