Summary
From the day he was granted sentience. Since the day his lovingly handwired body was given what a proud father would proclaim to be ‘life’, but was more appropriately deemed ‘sentience’. Tartar has never felt.
He’s felt distain, pride, amusement, other things, sure - but those were all……. artificial. Yes, he felt them. His code had them programmed in - to act as similar to a biological lifeform as one could force an AI to be - but they never felt. Real.
They were implemented only for specific purposes, not to run rampant and take control.
Emotions get in the way. They are a silly hinderance that once surfaced, can never quite stay buried.

Prompt fill:
"Wheatley (any form will do) succeeds in killing Chell somehow. Unfortunately for him, the Chell came back- as a ghost. And now he can't ever get rid of her."
Alternately, "Wheatley is an idiot, Chell is dead and pissed, and GLaDOS is still a potato."

Prodigy children don’t really have anywhere to belong. Prodigies are rare, and skip generations. Prodigies float listlessly between the fascinated and the curious, with a timer on their heads as they grow. Prodigies are only children, and no one is a child forever.

Summary
Link flinched back from whatever look Paya gave him, but reached forward again to cup her cheeks and smooth away her tears. Zelda settled to the floor next to them, on her knees in the dirt, and ever so carefully rested a hand on Paya’s shoulder.
“You’ve never seen me use my power like that, huh?” Zelda said, sounding vaguely self conscious. Paya looked at her, uncomprehending. “It’s a little intense, isn’t it?”
“Allergic,” Link said nonsensically, but Zelda nodded.
“Maybe,” she said, “what do you need, Paya? Water? A hug? Some space?”
Paya just looked at her. The Goddess made Hylian. The Goddess incarnate. The Goddess herself, bursting out of Zelda’s skin. Moved her eyes to Her chosen knight, Her hero. The cold steel of his eyes was gone, replaced by the gentle blue she had always known from him.
What was that?
⚔️👑⚔️
With the return of Zelda to Hyrule, Paya is tasked by her grandmother to remain by her side as she travels the remains of her Queendom. Which, between a budding relationship with Link and the strange movements of the Yiga, poses a much bigger challenge than expected.
Will she be able to keep Zelda safe? Or will Hyrule prove too dangerous for her?
