Summary
“Expecting company?” the person calls.
There’s no way.
He knows that voice—has heard it in his bed, and on the ice, and in his dreams—but he hasn’t heard it this closely and alone in years.
For a split second, he thinks no one will be there. That Svetlana was right, and becoming a recluse was making him crazy.
When Ilya finally does turn around, Shane Hollander is standing there, looking at him warily.
“Ilya?”
The ghost is back, only he speaks, and he’s not really a ghost at all.
Or, Shane and Ilya never speak again after the tuna melt debacle and Shane marries Rose. Seven years later, news hits that they are getting a divorce. Somehow, Shane shows up on the doorstep of Ilya's remote cottage, with only a duffel bag and a small hope. For Ilya, time has changed both nothing and everything.

Summary
“And if you win?” Hollander asks.
Ilya could not possibly fit all that he wants into neat, nice syllables, so he grabs Hollander by the jaw and kisses him instead.
If he wins, he thinks, and even if he fucking doesn’t, what he wants most is to ruin Hollander so much that no one else will ever do. He also needs a fucking cigarette.
There’s an idea.

Summary
“Ilya, you’re playing the Voyageurs next, in Montreal. How are you feeling about that?” An ESPN mic is held to his face.
Rozanov grins. “Really good. About time. I know we have been winning a lot, but is always the most fun to beat Montreal.”
“The situation’s kind of changed though, hasn’t it?”
“Is true.” Rozanov looks almost thoughtful. “It used to be the most fun to beat them because they had the best player on their team. Now…” Rozanov trails off. He chances a look to the side, as if to check if someone’s there or not. “Now is going to be fun because they are very stupid.” Rozanov’s face is very hard. Serious. Angry. Scary.
Or: Signing with the Montreal Voyageurs should have been the best day in Jordan Bicker’s career. If only it weren’t for Ilya Rozanov…

Summary
100-word drabbles. Mostly unrelated. Don't be put off by the fact that it's incomplete - each chapter is a story in and of itself.
Title taken from Nora, while Alex is on FaceTime with her from the guest kitchen in Kensington:
“... Watch it all unfold through a pair of binoculars.”We jump around in time, visiting different characters at different times.
Each little drabble stands alone and unrelated.

Summary
Ilya doesn’t even know why he takes the bottle, maybe as some sort of weird memento of Shane bending for Ilya and the things Ilya likes, despite his diet and his no drinking during the season rule. And, of course, as a reminder of Shane’s moans echoing off of Ilya’s kitchen counters.
He’s not even thinking about what it looks like when he reaches for the bottle in the locker room after practice and chugs half its contents.
“Fuck, Roz,” Marleau says next to him. “Isn’t it a bit early for that?”
Or: Five times people think Ilya is drinking vodka straight from the bottle, and one time he actually does.
