Drift thought he'd seen everything down in the Dead End. What he hadn't seen as a skiv he'd seen as a streetmech, and what he hadn't seen as a streetmech, he'd seen as a gun-for-hire. Then he receives a job offer with a bounty too large to ignore. The mark? Megatron, as in "electron", as in the bomb. A miner, from Tarn. The crime?
Poetry.
Or: Four and a half million years ago, a bounty hunter from the Dead End met a miner who fancied himself a poet, and that alone changed everything.

Soft Memory Errors
Soft Memory Errors is a re-examination of MTMTE Drift/Deadlock's character, in an attempt to fully utilize a character built from interesting concepts with patchy (or non-existent) execution. What started as a one-off drabble turned into this series when the 2020 quarantine left me with a lot more time on my hands than I anticipated. The series title is a reference to the computing glitch soft memory error, as the series has a recurring theme of fragmenting memories and the residual processor damage Drift sustained.

Summary
When malware takes over SecUnit and it nearly kills three of ART's crew, ART is left with two bad options: keep the governor module on with ART as the Client, or partition off part of itself and stick it in SecUnit's head.
Whichever option they choose, they had better make it work, because SecUnit is firmly centered in the crosshairs of its former owner, the most paranoid and ruthless company in the entire corporation rim. As things quickly get worse, destroying the company--something SecUnit has long considered impossible--might just be the only way to survive.

After his last defeat against his rival, Metal Sonic's existence has been all but relegated to waiting for his next orders- indefinitely. The robot spends his days in a glass prison in Robotnik’s base, watching the world go by as The Doctor comes up with his esoteric plans for domination. Ignored. Forgotten. Useless.
While observing the usual mundane tasks around his holding chamber, Metal Sonic one day spots a familiar face. A little hedgehog girl sneaks around the base, her bright pink quills preventing her from camouflaging into their dreary surroundings. Amy Rose helped Metal Sonic once before. Could he convince her to save him from this prison?
