    Worry. She looked worried. Flecked with curiosity, this woman looked worried for her. That was new.
    “You alright, little thing?” The woman asked, her voice low and rough, but protective, assured.

    Mel was the center of the universe. The very sun. The very gravity of a star that ebbed and pushed and lit up the world. And Sevika was the moon, pulling at the tides, eclipsing her in a centennial event where Mel’s light trickled like a halo from outside Sevika’s prophesied advance.
