So Nate seals his fate and asks “what, really?” and Sid shrugs and smiles and replies “yeah, it’s just this yearly ritual,” like that’s a normal thing to say. Because ritual is Sid-speak for absolutely batshit insane superstition that I’ve talked myself into repeating because I’m a crazy person.
