“You look like shit,” Hermione croaked, having to wet her lips several times to get the dryness out of her mouth.
Sirius swivelled when she spoke, quickly discarding the paper to give her his full attention. His boots thudded back to the ground and he scooted his chair closer. He gave her a slight smile, “You’re one to talk, love.”
She tried to smile back, but her smile soon became a grimace when the pain on her chest became unbearable.
