Summary
Clearly the mayhem of the last couple hours still lingered in his brain because when he looked back up, the woman was looking at him skeptically and he realized he must’ve taken too long to answer the implied question.
“Sorry, ma’am. Uh, I was just heading this way to secure the exit.” Please believe me.
“Okay… well i’m going to have to ask you to come with us to debrief and to get you all cleaned up. It seems as though you got the worst out of all of us.” She gestured towards herself, but a flash of emotions passed on her face. He couldn’t exactly tell what it was, being too small and quick, but he could tell it was nothing good.
“Uh, yea I guess. Sure. Whatever you guys need.”
No way was he about to be stuck parading around as an FBI agent—much less exposing himself to more agents who could look at him and yell out, ‘Hey! That's Jimmy’s jacket!’. He simply had to bide his time and dip the second they didn't have eyes on him.
“And don’t try to run. We know he was already down when you killed him.”

Summary
Frank knows exactly what’s wrong; Robby must too. He’s been practicing medicine as long as Frank’s been alive, he knows abuse as well as he knows anything else in emergency medicine. And Frank won’t call it that, not really, but he thinks it on the quiet nights. He thinks it when his boss looks at him like that. He thinks it when part of him aches from being grabbed too hard, pushed, maneuvered. When he gets home late not only so she won’t yell, but so she’ll be asleep before she can suggest anything. He won’t touch her in bed just so she doesn’t wake, doesn’t reach for him. Doesn’t make him say no, not tonight. Please, Abs, I’m too tired, just to be cut off by a kiss. Hips straddling his. His consciousness retreating inside him so he won’t have to be present for his body betraying his fear of her.
But he’s not at home in his bed; he’s not looking Abby in her murky hazel eyes he used to love. Frank is waiting for a case to take up more space in his mind than the fear.
The cycle has been going on this long, he thinks it can go on a little longer still.
Frank knows what abuse looks like, but it's a lot easier to ignore when it's you. Robby helps.

Summary
“But- it is a big deal, that was-”
“It’s fine, really.” Langdon held his arms tighter, knuckled white where he gripped his sleeves.
Javadi frowned, “Are you sure?”
“I am.” Langdon looked around again, sighing and rubbing his brow, “Look, I appreciate the concern, but I really- I can’t risk causing anymore problems right now.”(PLEASE carefully read tags!!!)

Summary
Tanner doesn’t respond. He looks back at Frank, uncertain for a moment, then lets go of his hand. Frank kneels one last time, hugs them both close, kisses their soft heads like it’s a ritual — a shield, a blessing, a silent apology.
Then he stands.
Some things are just too hard to say.
(Or, Frank Langdon isn’t fighting through addiction. He’s trying to leave his abusive wife).

Summary
“So–” Dennis starts, and Trinity honestly isn’t sure how she’s going to explain this one.
“I know it’s weird,” she says, gripping the steering wheel.
“I mean, it’s not that weird,” Dennis placates.
“He’s kind of a trainwreck,” Trinity defends, and then feels some type of way about the fact that she’s defending Langdon.
Dennis doesn’t disagree.
She promises him, “It’s only temporary.”
(Langdon's wife kicks him out. Trinity offers up her couch. She ends up learning a few things about her sworn enemy in the process.)
