Silco and Vander have been divorced for 8 years and their daughters won't be home for Christmas for the first time. Violet spends Christmas at her new girlfriend's place and Powder is trapped at college because a blizzard is about to hit.
Naturally Vander takes to checking in on his lonely ex-husband.(This has no relation to "Sugar is not a condiment" - my main modern Arcane AU :) It's been just a fun little side project!)

Summary
“Do I have a mother?” Vander froze on his side of the counter, pausing the train of thought about finances and all the errands he needed to get done around the pub for next week. Viktor to his credit didn’t even look up from his drawing.
“You have a father,” Vander answered, still choked up about the whole topic; completely taken out of his comfort zone. Silco’s shadow over Viktor’s shoulder gave him an unimpressed look. “I know that you’re my dad,” Viktor said as if he needed to explain that to him. Vander almost smiled, if only he weren't feeling so nauseous.
