    Summary

You walked into the House of Hope as if Ao himself would turn the wheel of time and save you when things went wrong.

You stole Raphael's hammer, released his Hope, stained his sheets with your sweat and lust.

The only thing you have failed to accomplish in the splendour of your chaos is to destroy the Devil himself.

He is about to give you and your companions a few lectures on effect and cause.

    A whole semester's worth.

""Now, you and I must discuss a certain matter. The matter of my virility, my endurance and my proclivities. I cannot allow such slander to go unchallenged, can I?""

DANGER! DANGER! HIGH VOLTAGE! ⚡⚡⚡ Fire in the gates of Hell! 🔥🔥🔥
I'm in desperate need of an illithid tadpole simply to blow everyone's minds (heh), consequences (ceremorphosis) be damned. This is not a drill. I want to kiss the author right in her beautiful brain and devour all her fics, especially this one. I would recommend that everyone give it a try, even if you're not super into the tags. Her writing is the pinnacle, the apogee, the climax (ooooop) of this fandom's life force, the epitome of its very essence and all its potential. The pure power of art that you always long for and so rarely encounter — and that’s just one of her facets.
This fic will make you think and ask yourself a variety of questions, but it's far from being turgid or highbrow. It's very reader-friendly, actually hilarious, witty, and fun, and isn't pitch black (not that being pitch black is a bad thing for fiction, ofc). And it's sexy AS FUCK — I would say EXCRUCIATINGLY sexy — the sexiest thing I've read in my whole LIFE. And not just because of Raphael. If you have a thing for women, you better buckle the fuck up and hide your girlfriends, because damn, Judith (the MC) can ROCK YOUR SHIT.
All in all, this is the best fanwork I've ever read. It's most certainly better than a lot of books I've read. It had me LOCKED IN for ALMOST A YEAR. It's brutal and nasty, tender and wondrous, lewd and passionate and profound and complicated and scary and heartbreaking and funny — IT'S EVERYTHING.
I love it with my whole heart. The only reason I wouldn't erase my memory to reread it again, if I could, is because I had a great time interacting with the author in the process. She's absolutely brilliant and I'm constantly in awe of her.

    Summary

Raphael obsesses over his sleeping Archduchess wife.

    ****
    There she lay.

There she lay, his temptress: face down, her hair unbraided, her body naked but for the lace of her knickers, on their enormous four-poster bed.

    There he stood.

There he stood at the door, rapt. The red pillow, the excessive, creamy silk pillow she lay on was so soft and deep that her face was almost hidden, but he could still see the high curve of her cheek, her small flushed ear. There was something innocent about the way her legs were splayed, childlike about the way her hands were tucked under her breasts.

Her innocence is nothing but a sweet little lie, and this sweet little thing doth lie, oh doth she lie.

An achingly sensual and multifaceted read, as always. Knowing the context adds layers to the story, but you can still find yourself wondering nonetheless. I actually wanted to read this man's POV for a really long time, and I was NOT disappointed — you can't linger on one feeling toward him for long while you're reading, and at times he pulls the most surprising reactions out of you, the twisted freak. Loved everything about it — except the things I hated. Those, I loved in a special way.

You expected yourself to be stretched on an infernal rack for the third day in a row, but here you were, sitting at the head of the long obsidian table in the House of Hope.

The guest of honour for one hell of a night.

    Bookmarker's Notes

I keep mentally returning to this fic, even though I first read it almost a year ago. That's how big of an impression it made on me. I viscerally remember the anger each had toward the other two and the harrowing lust they all shared toward the end. I remember myself being angered and intrigued. But most importantly, I remember being absolutely petrified. And I'm not kidding, I was literally frozen. This Raphael, in this work in particular (it could be read as a standalone), perhaps remains the most terrifying for me. Absolute fucking nightmare. In a "I'm-scared-shitless-also-heartbroken-also-fuming-also-fuck-yeah-get-your-revenge-girl-also-yeah-that's-hot-in-a-very-grotesque-and-devastating-way" way. Exactly how a narcissist with strong psychopathic tendencies and an untamed libido would treat his prisoners. I STILL get chills even thinking about him in here.
Wait till the evening, prepare your favorite hot drink, put on some eerie music, get cozy, and be ready to completely forget about the drink, the music, and everything around you. And don't stare too hard into the dark corners afterward :)

UPD: Just had another read after finishing the whole story and Jesus CHRIST it's even better

This is art — and a must-read if you want the author to simultaneously fuck you in the head big-time while remaining elegant, subtle, and masterful, providing food for thought — assuming you're in the mood to analyze this piece of fiction.
It can be read as a standalone, as can all works in the series!

Careful which mods you install for BG3. Did you read the terms and conditions carefully?

You hesitated for a moment before downloading this “Devil Wears Nada” mod. It felt slightly inappropriate, absurd as it may sound. There was something disrespectful about making Raphael deliver his final monologue in the nude.
Well, you would have to live with offending a bunch of pixels because you do want these screenshots.

“You are quite eager to see me naked, aren’t you? Naughty little mouse”.

    Bookmarker's Notes

I have yet to find a more skilled and talented author on this site or any other fanfiction-related platform. She will tear you apart, and you will beg her not to stop. She will scarouse you, and you'll realize that it's doing it for you — very much so. It won't matter what you were or weren't into before. She will sink her hooks into your very being, and you'll find yourself daydreaming about her characters and certain scenes from her works. She will alter your brain chemistry irreversibly — I can promise you that.
In addition, her sophistication and erudition shine through her writing, but never in a pretentious way. She's subtle and demure enough, and that will win you over. You don't even have to be a connoisseur of dark fiction (I, myself, enjoy a variety of genres, with dark fiction being just one of them). She will show you what you've been missing and why you should pick up something disturbing — maybe even transgressive — right. The fuck. Now.
