Summary
The Quintessons, who they themselves believe to be the smartest and most powerful race in the universe, have, at long last, discovered a way to end the Great War and bring total peace, prosperity, and unity to the galaxy: have Megatron and Optimus get bonded to each other. As many may suspect, neither party is enthusiastic about this decision. But given the shiny new planet destroying weapon the Quintessons have figured out, Optimus and Megatron have to go along and pretend to be happily bonded, while also trying to figure out a way to discretely bring down the Quintessons. Of course, as usual, nothing goes right.

Soundwave's banishment to the shadowzone has been bleak, uneventful and unending. He hasn't been able to contact Megatron or the Nemesis. He's low on fuel. If it weren't for the emotion-suppressing protocols he implemented before the war, he would be miserable.
And then one day a dimension-hopping Rodimus falls into the shadowzone and offers him a way out.

Despite Sentinel Prime announcing the war between Quintessans to be back Cybertron is silent.
There is no trace of war; no death and no sparks lost to the wind in battle.After Megatron's death and Orion Pax' disappearance Optimus have wandered the wilderness, eventually finding himself back in Tarn. The last place they spent time together. The last place on Cybertron that still feels like home.
Where he is supposed to go from here he does not know; and with a sparkling quickly approaching emergence he is desperate to find solace in the few friends he made along the way trying to evade Sentinel.But how is he supposed to find them? No one knows Orion Pax is now Optimus Prime. To the rest of the world Orion died alongside Megatron.
He never told them of who he would become; it was only Megatron who knew. And with the other Primes gone he has no one who can vouch for him.
Except for one other mech.
There is one other mech who knows of his ascension...But who's to say if he still lives?
